Training Overview
The TDG Regulations are divided into two key sections: General Provisions and Special Cases. These include specific exemptions, which will be covered in this course to provide a clear understanding of how to apply the regulations to your transportation needs in Canada.
Training Requirements (Part 6 – TDG Regulations)
Anyone who handles, offers for transport, or transports dangerous goods must either:

Be adequately trained in accordance with Part 6 of the TDG Regulations, or

Work under the direct supervision and physical presence of a qualified individual who holds a valid TDG training certificate.

What Is Adequate Training?
Employees are considered adequately trained when they:

Understand all relevant topics related to their job functions, as outlined in Section 6.2 of the TDG Regulations.

Possess a valid TDG training certificate containing the required information specified in Section 6.3.
Note: The TDG training certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
