Lithium batteries
All lithium cells and batteries are assigned to class 9 dangerous goods. Some are:
-
fully regulated
-
subject to reduced conditional transport requirements (called exempted and excepted)
Although exempted and excepted lithium cells and batteries are subject to reduced but conditional requirements, they are nonetheless regulated under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act. Failure to comply with the exemption and exception conditions is a violation of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act. We offer a variety of courses to meet your specific shipping needs.
