Lithium batteries

Smartphone Battery

All lithium cells and batteries are assigned to class 9 dangerous goods. Some are:

  • fully regulated

  • subject to reduced conditional transport requirements (called exempted and excepted)

Although exempted and excepted lithium cells and batteries are subject to reduced but conditional requirements, they are nonetheless regulated under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act. Failure to comply with the exemption and exception conditions is a violation of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act. We offer a variety of courses to meet your specific shipping needs.

Please contact us to discuss how we can customize the program to best suit your needs on site at your location or ours at training@dgcontrol.com
